Lents exited hyperspace and watched as his ship drew closer to the planet of Ylesia. He passed by one or two barren others, but none of them could support life, so it was doubtful the pseudo-Empire pirates had a base on either. Just in cased, however, Lents performed a cursory scan of each planet he passed and none of them registered any flagrant signs of life. He pulled into an orbit around Ylesia and commed the cental station. Soon, he got through and was talking to one of the air traffic controllers. "So I hear you've been having trouble with the 'Empire'--" Lents made sure to put a lot of sarcasm into the word to make sure he conveyed that he didn't believe the pirates were really imperial soldiers--"stealing spice from your regular shipments." "Yeah, are you working for Hurri the Hutt? He owns the colony the spice was supposed to be going to." "Yeah, he had a bounty available on Nal Hutta, so me and the Headhunter picked it up. So when does the shipment usually come in?" "They come around once every two standard weeks. We've been having problems about four or five weeks now. But you really think you can take on the pirates in that old thing? What is it-- New Republic Era? The air traffic controller laughed, not realizing how right he actually was. "Well we expect to be doing some foot-fighting to get to their leader. We're going to follow them back to wherever their headquarters is. The ships are to just get us around." "Well, good luck with that," the controller smirked. "Well anyways, I'll tell you when the next shipment is due for three hundred credits." Lents then realized why he always hated this region of space. "Three hundred, are you kidding me?" "A guy's gotta make a living, and Hurri isn't the most generous of employers." Lents quickly switched on the recorder and pretended to concede the money. "So three hundred?" "Yeah, I want three hundred, no less. "And this is for when the next spice shipment is coming through?" "Yeah, what are you, stupid?" "I'm just careful about where I throw my money," Lents said. Lents then raised his eyebrows, even though he knew the controller couldn't see. "So if I didn't want to pay, would you rather face Hurri's anger when the next shipment is pirated?" The controlled laughed. "Hurri trusts me more than you. If a shipment disappears, you guys are the ones that blew it, not me." "But we are completely competent, you were the one to not tell us when the shipment is due." "Maybe I did. It's just your word against mine." Lents raised his eyebrows again. "Is it?" He figured he had saved enough and played back the recording, starting from "So three hundred?" Lents could only imagine the controller's face paling as he heard the damning evidence. Lents knew he shouldn't revel in revenge, but it felt immensely satisfying to so easily outwit an opponent that deserved it so much. After a long pause from the controller's end of the link... "They'll be here in two standard days." "Thank you very much," Lents said, then switched off the transmission.

"Actually," Lents said, "I would like to meditate in the force until they get here. It will help my fighting and keep me more aware. Master Beckoaret would always say the difference between life and death can be your focus in the force, and many Jedi were slain because they were knocked out of their concentration." Lents altered his Y-wing's vector just enough to keep him in a safe orbit for the next two days. "You can do whatever you want, but if you don't mind I would like to get prepared. You know this is the first true test of my Jedi skills."

Skeang saw lents leave for a time and realized he had a couple days to get some work done of his own. He began to take a look at some information he had taken back on Nal Hutta the bounty read "Bring in this person dead or alive extreamly dangerous neo-jedi wanted by empire and known for troubling a few crime lords" He didn't plan on taking him in but another neo-jedi seemed like a good place to start looking for the training he needed.

Lents' alarm rang through the silent confines of his Y-wing. He had kept a hatch open to the atmosphere for fresh air, and now it was time to go. He sealed up the cockpit and angled himself into space. He rang up Skeang's Headhunter's com number. "You ready to go?"

Skeang didn't feel like telling lents of his time away so he said that he had done been practicing his swords and had accidentally hurt himself down on the planet but he was healed and ready to get moving he flew toward the area that they had decided to wait yelling at lents "cmon we got money to make and faces to break"

The ship entered Skeang's view he decided the best course of action would be to split with lents so he would look for the criminals while he checked the ship himself he got on board and began to look around.

Lents saw Skeang dock onto the cargo ship and hoped that he didn't do anything stupid and get himself killed. Meanwhile, he checked his ships displays and made sure everything was up to speed, even though the Y-wing had been getting ever more sluggish andweak lately. He hoped that he didn't die himself. He punched the accelerator and flew in a wide arc towards an asteriod which he calculated would take him right across the path of the cargo ship so he wouldn't be too far away from the action when the pirates decided to show up. He came up with an idea that was more of a gamble than a strategy, but it was the easiest and least risky way to be able to survive the fray. He quickly set the ships systems to be on the alert for an emergency shutoff, then once had confirmed a solid orbit around the asteroid, sent a message detailing his plan to Skeang then powered down. In seconds he looked like a derelict ancient vessel that had fallen into orbit of an asteroid passing through the system. The message was catapulted across the distance between Lents' Y-wing and Skeang's Headhunter at the speed of light in an old broadcasting method that was impractical at best but served Lents' purposes well, as no-one would be expecting a message to be sent at sub-hyperspace velocities, and thus no-one would be scanning. Those messages took way too long to travel and were practically useless in a heated dogfight in the void of space. Lents didn't even know if newer ships were even equipped to handle sensing messages transmitted over those frequencies. He was glad that he knew the Headhunter's ID number, so Skeang would surely receive it when he next powered on the ship.

(I dunno how to make them enter the way you described so you do it)
Skeang attempted to search around but unfortunatly the crew didn't see him as too much of a friend he was unable to look around for long and sent a reply to Lents as he left the ship.
"Everything seems normal, but i cant help feeling something is coming stay on your gaurd."

(ooc: it's just a number. They come from wherever.)
Lents watched and waited. The asteroid was currently in the middle of his line of sight to the cargo ship, and when he could finally view it again, it had traveled a bit closer to the planet and he noticed Skeang had taken off in his Headhunter. Lents suspected the crew didn't really like having potentially greedy bounty hunters around. Something flickered to his left, and out of the viewport he saw something that made his blood run as icy cold as Hoth. The pirates had just a little more firepower than he had imagined. Exiting hyperspace into the system was a full-size imperial Star Destroyer. How they got their hands on one Lents could never guess, but in seconds a motley squadron of 12 TIE fighters and Tri Fighters zipped out of the star destroyer's ports. They either had enough to spare, or thought the cargo ship was a shoe-in, neither of which was good news for Lents. In another few short seconds they were zooming in like a cloud of angry bees towards the cargo ship. Lents hoped that Skeang would be ok, and watched as he waited for the perfect moment.

Skeang smiled he began to talk "so something tells me we won't be able to kill them with the ships we got hows about I distract em while you get on board then I'll make my way on when your on safe and undetected try to find out who's running this thing. I'll board, catch up and make as much of a distraction as I can."

Lents thought quickly and plugged in the extra battery from the base on Hoth to power his communications systems without painting a big target on his Y-wing and turn even the most basic of functions on. He was just in time to receive the message from Skeang and hoped that Skeang had thought to send it at the sub-hyperspace level. As he watched Skeang zip in and out of the TIE fighters, causing as much mayhem as possible. As he watched the vessels weave in and out of seemingly random flight paths, he realized that even with his highly acute meditated Jedi senses, the physical limitations of his Y-wing itself would be his downfall were he to join the fray, so he looked for a good opening to get to the Star Destroyer. The TIEs' acceleration and handling was unmatchable, but Lents knew that their top speed was surprisingly low, and that if his engine held out on him, he could make catapult himself from the orbit of the asteroid at a straight shot to the Star Destroyer and outrun the lot of them. But that was a very big 'if'. As he sent cautious force tendrils into the fabric of space-time to find the perfeect opening, he all of a sudden read a lock on his ship. Using the power from the battery through the message system, lents was able to realize that it was the Star Destroyer itself that had locked onto him and had started to shift its angle from the cargo ship to the asteroid. He prayed that they still bought the derelict ruse, but couldn't think of why else they would want him. As it sluggishly accelerated towards him, he became less worried and more confused as he read no weapons lock onto him. Then a small light beeped. The display showed a nonlethal beam pulsing out of the Destroyer and engulfing his ship in a yellowish light. What was it? Lents wondered. It wasn't a turbolaser, or else he'd be dead by now. Not to mention turbolasers weren't continuous as this beam was. It wasn't an ion beam, or else the display would have shorted out. The instant he came to a conclusion, his Y-wing lurched out of its leisurely trajectory and towards the Destroyer, confirming his suspicions. It was a tractor. He smiled. This would make his job much, much easier. He reasoned that they must have thought him valid scrap metal and were bringing him into the cargo bay to dismantle. However, he thought, were he to escape and his ship to be turned into scrap, he would not mourn its loss. The old rustbucket had caused him enough trouble already. He shifter in his seat, trying to spot Skeang in the chaos, but the Headhunter was out of his sight of his transparisteel viewport. Lents hoped he was ok.

Skeang wasn't much of a shot or a pilot but he was sure fast enough to dodge whoever was in these ships they seemed to be so unorganized that he swore he saw 2 almost collide as he flew through there ranks when he had led them steadily away when he knew Lents was far enough away he quickly turned around shooting several shots into the following ships then sped forward flying close to the star destroyer looking for an opening. He knew the group they were dealing with were more force then brains and had to be controlled by only one or 2 smart beings but was completely surprised to find himself easily able to land on an opening leaving his ship and noticing several guards. Fortunatly 2 were asleep and the others seemed to not notice that he was not one of them. For the sake of causing a commotion he blasted 2 shots from his headhunter and dispersed all the guards he walked into a hallway hoping that he would of attracted all the attention so his young friend wouldn't need to worry.

Lents unplugged the battery from the comm system and stowed it away where it had been before. He then grabbed the blankets he had also used on Hoth and ducked down next to the pilot's seat, covering himself to avoid discovery via cursory examination. He stretched out tendrils of the Force, trying to feel the space around him. He heard a loud bump, followed by a shudder coursing through the hull of his Y-wing, then heard a grinding groaning sound as the hatch to the Star Destroyer opened and the tractor beam continued to reel him in. several possibilities coursed through his mind. The ship coudl be taken to a compactor, in which case he'd need to get out as soon as possible, or it could sit in a scrap hangar where mechanics dismantled it into an array of salvageable parts. Little did they know that the ship actually functioned fine, or at least, it held together. Lents heard another bump and felt another shudder as his ship was dropped to the cold metal floor. He tried to sense around in a circle around his ship, but he had never been very skilled at precognition and force sense. He could sense some force-blind life-forms and an unintelligible mesh of metal and plastic around, but his limited ability kept him from discerning any important detail. All of a sudden he heard talking. "So we gotta dismantle this derelict?" The voice's outer rim accent travelled through the plasteel canopy of the Y-wing's cockpit and Lents could make out the muffled conversation taking place outside. "Yeah, but it's not going anywhere. Besides, I've heard that the TIE's are having some trouble with a bounty hunter around the cargo ship, probably hired by that fat slug Hurri. We'll still get the spice, but it may take a bit longer than expected." "Hey that should be fun to watch. I hope that the hunter blows Fouess to bits." "You mean that hotshot knokw-it-all TIE pilot? Me too, man I can't stand the guy." "Hey let's go watch. It'll be fun, and like you said, this scrap ain't going anywhere." Lents heard footsteps walking away until he was left in silence. For good measure he waited a couple of minutes, then slowly drew the blanket back and peered out of the cockpit. The hanger was devoid of life. There were a couple other ships around in various stages of dismemberment, but nothing that looked anymore spaceworthy than the Y-wing. Pulling the switch, Lents opened the cockpit window and climbed out cautiously. To free up some body movement, and to keep people from knowing he was still a padawan, Lents took off his brown robe which he just realized he had still been wearing and tossed it onto the pilot's seat of the Y-wing. He rapped his knuckles on his mandalorian breastplate and kissed the knuckle of his forefinger for good luck, then pulled the lightsaber from his belt and cautiously made his way through the hangar to one of the doors, keeping his physical senses alert for pirates, and his force senses alert for Skeang, if he had made it onto the Destroyer yet.

Skeang pushed through some of the guards with relative ease very few were armed he hid in a room for a few seconds it seemed as he had found a map he was unable to study it long enough before feeling at least 1 shot in his back. It was a great deal of pain enough to slow him down just a little and before he knew it there were 3 of them in the room with guns. He blocked 2 shots but let one hit him right in the chest as he felt his flesh begin to regenerate he ran forward striking 2 of the guards down then finishing the last one with relative ease he studied the map and began toward where the map had idicated the bridge to be.

Skeang knew had been running down hallways for several minutes he felt slowed due to the sharp pains of his injury with the mysterious neo-jedi and with the pirates recently and decided to take a quick stop to allow himself to regenerate he passed a storage room and stopped. Entering the room he saw very small collection of stolen valuables smiled and whispered "jackpot" thinking of how he may find some use for as he took what seemed to be valuable just to realize he had set off an alarm knowing guards would come soon he decided the best course of action would be to move out as fast as possible. He started to run but his injuries caused him a conciderable pain. He grew angry and he suddenly felt an energy rush through him, his anger had jump started his force power he felt his pain disipate and began to sprint hoping he would be able to catch up to Lents and get this job over with.

(ooc: I can't post much right now, I gotta go in a sec)
As Lents cautiously made his way through one hallway after another, trying to figure out how to get to the bridge, he felt a sharp spike of dark side energy forward and to his right, down another series of maze-like hallways. It could only be Skeang. Lents figure he should meet up with Skeang first before tackling on the pirates' leader, so he turned right as soon as he came to a side hall a ways forward, and tried to follow the pulsing beacon of Skeang's dark side power, moving erratically through the sizeable ship.
