"Should we see if we can get some force training from one of the masters?" Lents asked Skeang. He didn't really know what he wanted to do.

Skeang shouted "Training sounds great to me flying around in that tin can really had me going stir crazy lets get moving" As he attempted to point in what way he thought the masters were.

*Note from 7 Oct 2010: the Nameless Master is green in this thread because that's the color I had for him before he officially became color=orange.
Lents went up to one of the Masters and asked if the Master could show him how to better his use of telekinesis, and glanced over at Skeang, wondering if that was the subject in which he was interested. Agreeing to his request, the Master and Lents began training. First, the Master asked Lents to show him what he knew, so Lents picked up a pebble and purging his mind of all emotions, tried to get it to raise form his outstretched palm. Even though his eyes were closed, Lents could feel the stone wobble, but it never left his hand. With a sudden inrush of frustration, Lents lost his connection to the force, and the master realized what Lents was doing wrong as the stone ceased to move. "You can't think of it as your power lifting the stone," the master told him, "but you must think of it as the force flowing around the stone and shifting its position. With the stone moving through the force, the stone will move through space. It's the basic principle behind using any sort of telekinesis with the force. Once you grasp that, you should be able to move any object around with ease. Ancient Jedi Grandmaster Luke Skywalker was fond of telling his students that 'Size matters not,' becuse in the force, the physicality of an object holds no meaning, yet in the material realm that can mean objects as big as star destroyers can be moved with the force as easily as that small pebble." The Master pointed to the stone on the ground that Lents had dropped. "In fact, five hunded and thirty-eight years ago, a Jedi Knight by the name of Dorsk 81, trained by Luke himself, was with the force able to push seventeen--" He paused, letting that sink in to Lents-- "seventeen imperial Star Destroyers from above Yavin 4 all the way out of the star system. He stopped and looked at Lents, who had a stunned look on his face. "He pushed seventeen Star Destroyers all the way out of the system? From the surface of the planet?!" The Master nodded, smiling. "With focus and practice, hopefully you can reach that level one day, however I must warn you." The Master raised an eyebrow, "When Dorsk 81 gave himself fully over to the force to move the seventeen Star Destroyers as he did, it overpowered and burnt out his body, killing him." "I shall excersize caution." Lents promised. Lents looked over at Skeang. That had been a strictly light side lesson, and didn't know how the principles showed to him by the master could be applied to Skeang's own power.

Skeang had heard the lesson but had doubts about learning if he would be able to use these abilities he began to explain "If you have not heard yet I am one who was originally among the sith so I do not know if these will work for me the things i learned back in the day told me that the users of the light side had different ways of channeling the force then I do" he walked over and said "also i was told that my mental force is greatly shadowed by my physical power my former instructers told me to learn powers that allow my physical abilities to grow even greater"

Lents nodded. "Alright. I had some training in that, making my body stronger, but once again I don't know how light side teachings can apply to Neojedi powers. Isn't the Dark Side just giving yourself over to your emotions and using rage and anger and hate to manipulate the force?" Lents spit out the words as if they had a bad taste. As much as Skeang was helping him and didn't seem like that bad of a guy, the thought that he willingly placed himself in the Dark Side was disconcerting to him. Lents reluctantly came up with a plan. He knew he couldn't convince Skeang otherwise, so he could try to eke out Skeang's more volatile emotions to help improve his power. "I have an idea. Let's spar and you can try to--" Lents couldn't believe he was saying this-- "get caught up in the battle and try to utilize some force power."

As the words registered a smile came across Skeang's face he said "Well I'd rather not hurt you but since i left home to train as a sith and when i went into hiding i had become used to fighting nearly every day and other then a few infrequent battles I havn't had much fighting since I started this journey. It may help I gained what power I had now through physical training and battling I don't wish to harm you so make sure there is a someone close just encase, i tend to get a little out of hand." He gripped his blades and started to loosen himself up "I'm ready when ever you are" he said "Don't worry about me I don't know how a hit from these could kill me but as for you well, a dead or injured ally is worse then any power i could gain from 1 fight so try not to get caught up yourself"

"I'll have you know I was one of the better students at my camp." Lents said as he slowly took a step back with his right foot and brought his lightsaber up in his preferred Form IV stance. "A Jedi never lets his emotions control him in a battle." Lents leapt right and feigned a horizontal swipe at Skeang but dove left at the last second and rolled over to Skeang's left, cutting up with the blade.

Skeang blocked with his short blade holding it down for a second to say "I'll respect your camp but I didn't spend 500 years sitting around" He jumped back "And holding back emotions may work well for you but I fight my best with adreniline I show my true strength when my blood boils over!" then rushed forward slashing with then long blade holding the 2nd close to him to either block or stab if needed.

Lents jumped up and over, feeling himself move through the force as the Master had told him to. He was surprised. With the right wording of the idea, Lents found using the force to manipulate physicality was surprisingly easy. he flipped as he rose above Skeang's head, slamming his blade against Skeang's, causing sparks to fly out from both. He landed heavily on his feet as he accidentally let go of the focus and fell the last few centimeters to the ground, back-to-back with Skeang.

Skeang was surprised such a physically weak looking being was capable of such but he didn't take time to ponder on it he took advantage of the situation he attempted to use the force to increase his speed and strength momentarily as he used every muscle to push backwards in the form of a full body slam with his back, fearing retaliation after he felt some form of connection he ran forward noticing a slight increase in speed he turned around and regained his stance.

Lents was all of a sudden buffetted forward by Skeang's back in a surprise backwards body slam. He tumbled forward, accidentally sticking his lightsaber into the ground and accidentally letting go as the resistance between the lightsaber and the ground kept it steadfast. Ignoring his lightsaber, Lents focused on not crashing hard into the ground. He pitched forward but steadied himself with his hand, landing in a crouch, then quickly spun around and leapt back slightly just in case Skeang followed up with another attack. He was fast! Lents was not expecting him to react as quickly as he did, but Skeang was already in a fighting stance, ready to continue. Lents saw his lightsaber, sticking out of the ground and still on, halfway between them. Sithspawn! Lents' lightsaber didn't have an auto-shutoff. He suppressed his anger and focused on the lightsaber. If he sprang forward to grab it, Skeang would certainly have enough time to attack Lents' exposed movement, but Lents couldn't keep his lightsaber in the ground like that. The battery was quickly depleting and Skeang could do some dirty trick with it. Lents had no doubt Skeang was faster than he, so Lents needed to change up his game and fight dynamically. Lents closed his eyes and envisioned the world rippling downward, feeling the force flow into the space between his lightsaber and the ground, and when he opened his eyes, he was proud to see that his lightsaber had indeed risen out of the ground. Keeping his focus on the lightsaber, Lents curled his fingers and the blade slowly rotated to point straight at Skeang, acting as a buffer between the Gen'dai and the Omwati.

( i got a little fuzzy right there at the end is the thing floating? if not this wont make sense)
Skeang having fought foes with knowledge of the force (and more then likely not coming out of it in one piece) had faced a similar move to what he was seeing. During the time he had just enough self control to avoid finishing the fight but as the saber began to raise. He was unsure how to counter but attempted a risky move. He ran forward and at the point where the lightsaber was he crouched then used his legs backed by his arms for an enormous jump putting him at close range to Lents at which point he took a rather "inspired" stance pointing his short defensive saber at the one Lents was controling then the long one directly at Lents, unsure of how this would play out he attempted to focus his anger and energy on Lent's blade hoping some of the sith training would pay off. He said "I know this is just a play fight but don't be afraid to strike me if given the chance, think of it as giving my body a chance to work on its regeneration habits" He smiled waiting for Lents to move.

(yeah it's floating)
Lents bounded back to stay out of range of Skeang's lethal blade and lost his focus on the lightsaber he was trying to keep floating in the air. It wavered and fell to the ground, and Lents couldn't risk focusing on it to lift it up again because that would leave him completely at Skeang's mercy. Recognizing the tight spot he was in, Lents thought about all possibilities but realized he had no offence and virtually no defense withouit his blade. Concedind defeat, Lents held up both hands. "Great job Skeang. I realize I must train even harder now, of course," he laughed, "how could I expect to beat one with five hundred years of experience?" Keeping his hands up, Lents walked over to his lightsaber, picked it up, deavticated it, and reattached it to his belt. "So what do you want to do now? I think all I need is more practice keeping my telekinesis up and strong, and I can do that anywhere."

Skeang feeling accomplished for beating someone a fraction of his age said "It felt good to have fought someone who forced me to think on my feet like that" He looked around and said "I've never been one whos good at knowing things or getting information but if anyone around here would know of another neo-jedi I believe that would be the best course of action for me to train."

"Yeah that'll work." Lents agreed. "I could use some money to improve my ship, and I'm starting to get an idea about my lightsaber. Lets see if we can get a job in the wilder regions of the galaxy, and while we're there, meet up with some of the more independant Jedi camps. Maybe bounty hunting?"

Skeang thought for a second. The idea of tracking down people beating them up for money while looking for a way to grow stronger put a smile on his face of course Lents was unable to see this due to the fact that the second it all registered Skeang began to dash off towards the ships shouting "Sounds like fun Lents get a move on, this place got boring anyway!"

Lents quickly followed, climbing up into his Y-wing, which had served him well since he left Coruscant, but would really need to be upgraded or even traded in soon enough. Lents followed Skeang in his Z95 Headhunter as they left Ossus and headed for the wilder Hutt-controlled space, where the most lucrative work was.
