"So then are you going to follow up on that now? You were right to let me know about this--this is really important to clear up now so that people don't have misconceptions about the Jedi in the future. I'll go with you if you want, but I should also set up a comms link and touch bases with Ossus. I've been out of contact for longer than I expected." Lents pulled out his comlink and began typing out connection settings to try and reach the distant planet.

Skeang sent a nearby neo-jedi to fuel up his ship and make the preparations to leave. He would send another team if he had any more information at all, this could be a trap, or simply the team running into problems with there ships. "If you don't have more pressing matters I would appreciate the help, but since I have no idea what might be waiting for us return, you can feel free to return to ossus if you needed."

Lents set up a video link in one of the huts and contacted Master Beckoaret. The conversation was cut short due to a por connection, but Lents understood that the Jedi were making good progress in their battlefronts. He was always welcome to come back to the fray and help out, but staying with the neo-Jedi and aiding them where necessary--including further cementing an allegiance between them and the Hutts--was also a goal worth pursuing. As he left the hut, he ran into Undraka Stogg. "Eth, just who I was looking for." "Undraka, can I aid you in any way?" "Yes, I just finished communicating with Hurri, and he says he needs the skills of either you or Skeang for a special sort of job." Lents raised an eyebrow. "I see, I'll help out Hurri with whatever he needs. What kind of job?" "It involves the finding and re-capturing of an escaped slave girl, one of the prizes of his collection. He wants you to tail a bounty hunter named Hydra Vaardo to start. Hurri doesn't fully trust Vaardo, but Vaardo offered a low price for the bounty, and so Hurri granted it. But to gain further assurance, he wants you to go too. The mark is a Diathim named Azreala. He offers you 15,000 credits for her safe return." Lents gulped as he took in all of Stogg's words. He had always known the Hutts were notorious crime lords for a reason, but he had always tried to avoid committing anything blatantly immoral or injust while doing work for them--but this... this violated everything Lents stood for as a Jedi and a protector of peace and justice in the galaxy. But there was no way in all the stars he could refuse, just as soon as they had a promising in with Hurri. "Yeah, uh, I'll let you know tomorrow. I have business to take care of." Lents walked away quickly, feeling Stogg's steely stare burning a hole in the back of his feathered head. Seeking out Skeang, he explained what Stogg had told him and expressed his concerns. "What can I do? Hurri doesn't trust anyone else but you or me to do this job, and you have graver concerns on your hand. Should I just suck it up and do it?" He ran a hand through his feathers in exasperation.

Skeang thought for a second, he knew the hutts would put them to work but right now he needed to focus on his missing men, even if it meant Lents had to do something that was against his morals. "Well I can probably let Sarvina's talents go to work on Stog, between her pheromones and the force she can be quite convincing" Stopping for a second to look back at the information he had on his missing men, "However if he is taking orders from Hurri I doubt it will help change what he says. I know you don't like the idea of going after her but I think if you give it some more thought you will realize that your perfect for this job." Standing before Lents he looked at the Omwati, knowing he knew what to say to get Lents more excited about this. "I've seen the slaves some of the Hutts own, and if one escaped I'm guessing she won't last too long on her own. Not with a bounty hunter after her, and especially after one of the brutes I got around here is on her trail. A more cautious caring guy like you would greatly improve her survival rate, even if she has to become a slave again. And don't worry about my mission, like I said I can't even promise that what happened to my men is related to the firrerreo."

Lents grimaced and nodded. He knew what he had to do, as much as he loathed that responsibility. Could the Jedi do something about the slave trade in Hutt space when the Empire was toppled? Curses, they couldn't, Lents had sworn that the Hutts would get independence. But that was only with regards to the new government, independent of the Jedi Order itself... Lents shook his head. The whole mess was confusing, and he could cross that bridge when he came to it. For now, he had to track down an escaped slave girl...
"I'm going to go Skeang. As much as I do hate this, there's no getting around it." He sighed. "You did make some good points too. I should head off then, good luck on your investigation." Lents paused, then flushed with resolution and strength. "Take care of yourself, I'll keep in contact." He shook Skeang's amorphous hand and gave him a hearty pound on his massive back.

Skeang bid farewell to his friend, "I'll be sure to keep in touch, if I find anything on that Firrerreo the jedi will know about it. And don't forget to ask the neo-jedi for help if you need it, there aren't many of us but we can go or be found anywhere to help." Skeang headed toward his headhunter, setting course for fondor

Lents grabbed Undraka Stog and they boarded the Illuminant Rush so that Lents could fly him back to Nal Hutta. As they blasted off into deep space, Lents switched the controls to autopilot and spoke. "A bounty hunter named Hydra Vaardo, eh? Any other information? A name like that is not much to go on. It's a big galaxy." "Hurri sent me a dossier on Stog with some more information you might find helpful." The Klatooinian handed Lents a datapad with information springing up into a hologram. "Former mandalorian?" "She was a notable one, but she botched up a mission or something really badly and Tarino Vhett exiled her. She's been scrounging around in Hutt space looking for a way to get back into the Mandalorian's good graces." "So how does this help me find her?" "Hurri's intel says she was involved with another bounty hunter who called himself Attus. He was last seen flying towards the core worlds, but good luck finding any information there, for obvious reasons." Lents laughed, surprising even himself. "Might be a little tough being a non-Sith force user in the heart of Sith-owned space." The conversation died out after that, and Lents took the time to read up on what other knowledge Hurri had on Hydra Vaardo. He wasn't going to go to the core chasing after a potential lead to a potential lead, but he was surprised Hurri didn't give him more information on the target. Azreala, a Diathim. A Diathim would stand out like a sore thumb in any regular company in the galaxy. Maybe his job was more about Vaardo though than Azreala--that for some reason Hurri wanted him to focus on making sure she got the job done, rather than him doing it himself. Either way, he came up with what he reasoned was an understandable course of action. He would drop off Vaardo back on Nal Hutta, then head towards the small region of space owned by the Mandalorians and try to get more information on Vaardo there.

Some time later...
Skeang barged out of his headhunter sprinting toward his hut on Dantooine. Sarvina catching him just before he reached it, stopping him to ask. She could clearly see the stress on his face. "What happened? Did you find something?" Skeang kept moving, Sarvina following behind him. He shouted to be sure as many as possible heard him, "Get in contact with every group out currently, and make the time between check ins half as long. Any mission that does not pose an immediate threat to our safety here is postponed until further notice!" Sarvina now thoroughly concerned quickly pulled a vibroknife from her belt and jabbed it into Skeang's side. She had found that it was sometimes the best way to get his attention. Skeang quickly turned to her with a foul look on his face and waited for her to speak. "Skeang our operation requires constant action, not only to fund this tiny city but to keep the more zealous recruits busy so they don't start cutting each other up. What could be so monumental that we need to halt our activities?" Skeang pulled her aside, he did not want those nearby to get wind of what had happened to the group on Fondor. "The group on Fondor had been captured, and turned into creatures too horrible to describe. I had to kill each one myself. On top of that my old buddy Hurrikaine who disappeared a few years back was there claiming that the sith who had him mind controlled wanted to test me personally. Said that if I didn't go and fight who he said, more of our men would be turned into disgusting creatures and sent to fight us. So until I can find the first target he told me to find, nobody leaves unless they absolutely have to." Sarvina was taken back by this information, Skeang had told her how he felt responsible for Hurrikaine's disappearance, and she knew how much Skeang hated losing neo-jedi. Whoever is doing this must also know that about him.. She thought, as she started sending orders to the neo-jedi currently away from Dantooine. "Who is this first mark he wants to you find? Maybe one of our spies knows something." Skeang sat down, absolutely fuming with anger, his dark force energy saturating in his every fiber. "The sith wants me to find a Firrerreo, no name or description given. Only that he was last seen with Rayn Ares Nomad. An ally of Lents if I recall. I need to find and get in contact with him as soon as possible."

Skeang looked at the message, his ship already readied. Sarvina tried to get him to bring a few men but Skeang knew that a group would attract too much attention. And with that he was off to Mandalore posthaste.
