Her head whipped to the side as soon as he passed her. "Thats it! Really?" She glared at the man. Was he underestimating her? Just toying with her. She ran and stood in front of him, giving his chest a hard push. Not the most wise thing, but for some reason she felt like she could connect with him, or at least not feel...scared around him. She glared and stood in front of the door. "You can't call that a fight, I may be a padawan, and I know I have much to learn. But why quit now." She wanted to know.

She wouldn't move. Not now. Not when you have the determination of a woman against you. "Tell me why your here. NOW." She had guts, you had to give Ailurec that. But her superiors called it foolishness. She grabbed where his hand sat on his riffle and shoved the barrel down so it pointed at the floor. "Your not getting past me." She looked at him and almost met his eyes at the same height. She was only two inches shorter then him.

Ailurec stayed still. She had a feeling he wouldn't kill her. She knew it. Because he would have already done so. Her grip on his gun tightened. "No. Now get out of here before I drag you out myself"

Maximus couldnt believe it. This young jedi, this young girl, was trying to scold him like a mother would scold her child. Unbelievable. Maximus shook her hand loose from his rifle and leveled it with her head. This was a waste of time, coming in here. What the hell did he think he would find here? He mentally kicked himself for his idiocy. He began to back out the door. He didnt like the idea of turning his back on an opponent. He made sure he watched her carefully. He reached the door, and she hadnt moved. He stepped outside. Once outside, he turned on his heels and made for his ship at his fast walk pace. He needed to get his cargo to his hut.

"HEY!" Ailurec yelled after him. She debated on going after him. But she couldn't leave the enclave..... But she didn't have a master... She needed to find another one. Ailurec sighed mentally. "Get back here coward! You can't just leave like that. You owe me another lightsaber." She ran out of the safe secluded enclave into the forest. A chill ran down her arms and back as she looked around the forest. When she caught up to him she grabbed his arm trying to turn him around to face her. "Don't think your getting off easy! Just because you think I'm weaker then you. How do you know I couldn't have killed yo like that!" She snapped her finger for emphasis.

Maximus was shocked. The blasted fool had actually come after him. This needed to stop. Maximus turned and faced the women. He looked into her face, and for a moment actually debated killing her. But for some reason he could not explain himself, he decided he didnt want to. He would have to scare her off. Without a word, Maximus reached onto his belt, grabbed a thermal detonator, pulled the pin, and dropped it on the ground right at her feet. He turned and sprinted towards his ship.

Her eyes widdened the instant she saw it fall. They driffted up to see him run and then back down to what seemed to her her final moment. All wrapped up in a bomb. But for some reason the oddest reaction happened, the moment before it exploded she turned and drop kicked the bomb, sending t sailing into the trees. It exploded in the air and Ailurec had to turn and cover her head, ears and close her eyes. She stood upbreathless. And a bit shaken. "oh thats the last straw." Why was she going? It was like walking to her death. But she didn't care. She was foolish, and stuborn, and determinded. She was going to confront this punk. She trailled behind, following his footprints. "A ship? huh..." She didn't have anything better to do... so Ailurec got on. She was going to follow this guy. And get a new lightsaber. Why? Well. She was curious about him for one. and two? She couldn't afford a new one herself. So the adventure begins.

Maximus just couldnt believe his little confrontation with the jedi. What an unusual jedi. But it didnt matter. Maximus cleared her from his mind. He charged his old ship's engines, lifted off the ground, and set course for his hut.
About twenty minutes later, he reached the tree where his home resided. he set down on his makeshift landing pad. He retrieved Xeo and carried the unconscious man inside. He layed him down on his table. Maximus looked about his one roomed home. He didnt want to leave anything out that might give away anything about him. He would have to wear his armor. Nothing about him could be exposed to this stranger, not even his face. He'd have to deal with it, or Maximus would have no choice but to kill him. Maximus went over to his aid cabinet. He retrieved the necessary healing tools and set to work bandaging up his guest.

Xeones came to. How long had he been out? He was inside of a hut of some sort. This must be the armour dudes house he thought. Xeones could see the man digging through a cabinet, pulling out medical supplies. At least he was a man to his word.

Maximus pulled out the white bandages. He turned to see Xeo lying awake watching him. He approached the bed. "Dont move. I'm going to bandage that cut on your head there and then I am going to ask you for the information you owe me." Maximus paused a moment. "If you cooperate with me, I will remove your bindings. But first you will answer a few questions."

This man may have been smart but he forgot one thing. Xeones was still a soldier at heart. He stood up and showed his hands, they were free. He flashed his knife. He always carries behind his right hip just for these situations. Not that he needed the knife. The ropes were made of wookie hair, tough but not enough to hold Xeones down. "Okay, thanks for the help and yes I can help you in return.

It was the second time today that Maximus had to curse himself for his stupidity. Should have checked him for weapons. Fool. Maximus would not underestimate this soldier again. "You just stay where you're at," Maximus drew his blaster pistol and held it at the soldier's heart. He was across the room from him, a good twenty feet, so Xeo couldnt pull anything without being shot. And there was nothing substantial to use as cover, and to top it off, Maximus was standing right next to the only door. There were no windows in his hut. His armor vault was shut, his blaster rifle inside. No weapons for the soldier to grab. Xeo was trapped, and Maximus was tired of these games. He was going to get his answers. "Alright, now tell me then. Who was the sith that attacked you and nearly fried me? What was his name?"

Xeones calmly and slowly put his knife back. He then let his hands fall to his side. Now the man would be on edge, good let him be that way. If things went bad Xeones wanted every advantage he could get. If the man was on edge it would be a slight distraction, giving Xeones a split second more time. That time could make all the difference in a fight. " Look the sith you speak of, he goes by the name Titus. This I know." I do not know where he went because I was knocked out by his wookie and the next thing I knew they were gone. He does have a wookie, I am sure you picked up on that. What else do I know? Well I know Jack Starbuck. And I know that Captain Jack Starbuck has been working for Titus since well before this whole invasion began. I can get you to that man. I can get you acess to anyone else that may have encountered this "Titus" as well. If this is what you would like, then I'd be willing to accompany you. This would mean that we would need to wait in order to build my new armour. A favor that I AM going to hold you too. But not now, when the Empire sees me again, they will see me in this the same beat up armour that they gave me."

Behind his emotionless faceplate, Maximus studied Xeones. He looked the soldier up and down. He was shorter than Maximus by at least a foot. Despite this, he looked to be very strong and lean. His toned arm was coovered in filth and grime from trudging and fighting in the jungle. Maximus had managed to stitch the wound on that arm before he had woken up. His eyes drifted up to Xeo's head, which was covered in cuts. The grenade that had gone off near him hadn't done too much physical damage. The shrapnel in his head had only cut the skin, and barely grazed the skull cap. It must have been the concussive force of the blast that had knocked him out the first time. On the side of Xeones' head a nice bruise was forming from where Maximus' rifle had collided with his face. Maximus' eyes trailed back to Xeo's bare arm. That wound was what made him so cautious around Xeo. While Maximus had been stitching his arm he had noticed something; the angle and the directioin of the cut was consistant with a wound that was self-inflicted.

Realizing this made Maximus think. Either this man was psychotic, or for whatever reason he had cut his arm, it had been some plan concocted by him. Maximus knew from experience to always expect the worst in any situation, that way when the worst happened you were never suprised and you would be prepared. So Maximus had decided to not underestimate this man. He still had his blaster pistol aimed at Xeo's chest. Maximus had already taken a great risk bringing this man here. But as much as he loathed to admit it, Maximus needed his help. They both needed each other's help. Maximus drew in a deep breath behind his faceplate. He clickedthe safety on his blaster pistol and holstered it. He continued to watch Xeones, who merely stared back. Neither spoke. They just stared. This man was difficult to read. He looked worn from years of battle. And there was a madness in his eye, a look of some deep understanding that Maximus could respect. Actually, in a way, it reminded Maximus of his face whenever he looked in a mirror. Finally Maximus spoke: "Very well, Xeo. I will rebuild your armor. I cannot make it exactly like mine, for I do not have the necessary equipment or resources or time to do so. I will however upgrade it with what I have available to me here. When I do, you will take me to find this Captain jack Starbuck so I may speak with him. However," Maximus added with emphasis, " I will not remove my armor or helmet. My identity is my own. Do not ask me about what is mine to keep. I will tell you that my name is Saber and nothing more." Maximus walked over to his armor vault. He inserted his gauntleted finger into the keyhole. He neurally entered the passcode. There was a small beep followed by a click, and the lock unlatched itself. "And if you try anything funny, I will not hesitate to kill you," Maximus added stoically. He had a feeling he was going to regret this.

Xeones didn't bother with Sabers' threats, they were almost childish it seemed. What was this man so afraid of? Xeones followed along, for some reason he knew he was in the right place. He also knew that they were not alone. Someone who could be of great help to Xeones was with them. Xeones did not mention anything to Saber, he'd find out in due time. He started to examine his own body. What a mess. Saber had at least stitched his arm, bandaged his head. His face burned as if it were on fire. It must be all the cuts. " Saber, I don't think you understood me. We will fix my armour after we meet with Starbuck. They need to see me in this. Besides, aboard a Destroyer I will be able to get you some resources to make even your suit look ancient."

Lirri laboriously learned the basic forms of lightsaber combat, although she knew that if the Sith invaded the enclave she would not be able to help the Jedi fight them off. But it seemed as though the situation was getting more desperate. She heard from the others about a missing padawan named Ailurec. Lirri knew the padawan by sight. The Jedi couldn't afford to lose anyone, Jedi or padawan or youngling. Not with the Sith on Kashyyyk. Becoming angry that she could not go outside, Lirri dutifully practiced her lightsaber forms. If she was cooped up for long she might crack. Somehow, she would find a way out.

The insult from Xeones suprised Maximus a little. He thought Xeo would be above such childish things. Apparently he wasn't as wise as Maximus had previously concluded. His suit, an antique? Hardly. Maximus wasn't upset over the insult, rather he was glad Xeo took such a crass view of its capabilities, which was fine with Maximus. The less Xeones knew, the better. He looked back to his open vault. Inside sat two blaster rifles, some ammo cartridges and grenades. Those were all hooked to the left door. On the right door rested Maximus' short sword, his combat knife, and a spare grappling cable. Several different interchangeable heads were each set next to the cable: a small spear head, a hook, and a weighted ball used for smashing enemy bones. Maximus pulled out the remainder of his steel grappling cord from the launcher on his left forearm bracer. He rolled the cable up tight and set it on the hook next to the spare. He unhooked the new cable, connected it to the launcher and watched as the launcher pulled the cord back in. He grabbed the spear head and attached it to the end of the cable. The cord finished retracting and the spear point locked in place with a click. The spear head was all taht was visible of the weapon on his forearm. Maximus grabbed three thermal grenades and clipped them to his beltline. He retrieved his knife and stuck it in it's sheath on his armored calf. "The imperial ships are still in orbit over kashyyk," Maximus said. "You were only out for a few hours." He didnt think it necessary for him to tell Xeo that he had sedated him when they'd arrived back at his hut. Doing so had allowed Maximus to examine himself for burns. The sith's lightning had done no permanent damage. Maximus grabbed several ammo cartridges and attatched them to the remaining clips on his beltline. He then grabbed a rifle, loaded a cartridge and checked it. He then slung the weapon over his shoulder. Once that was done, he looked to his shortsword. The single edge, two foot long blade glistened in the white light generated by the armor vault's lightstrip. Shortly after he arrived on kashyyk, Maximus had decided to create a piece of steal that would not fail him when he most needed it. After he had purchased the necessary supplies with the credits from his first bounty missions, Maximus had forged himself the sword. On the flat of the blade was a proverb, taught to him by his father when he was still a boy until he died. Maximus had engraved the words, " Rise again." Keep rising, no matter how many times or how far you fall, and you will become strong. Maximus grabbed the sword. He had modified his suit and built a sheath into the back plating, specifically designed to hold this sword. He reached back and sheathed it. Maximus looked back at Xeones, who hadnt moved. "So we somehow get aboard the imperial destroyer and find this Captain Jack Starbuck. How do we know he is reliable?"
