Having multiple accounts has never really been an issue before now, but recent events have proven otherwise. Here is the official policy on creating multiple accounts.
Having multiple accounts is not forbidden, but it isfrowned upon not necessarily encouraged. If you decide you want to have a second account for whatever reason, go ahead, however, you must keep interaction between the two accounts to a minimum. Also, if you do create multiple accounts, all admins must be aware of it, but not necessarily other members. If we discover a second account without you telling us, you will be docked posts on BOTH of your accounts, depending on how long it took us to discover it, and how much the two accounts interacted with each other. All you need to do is send one of us a message giving the name of your second account, and everything will be fine.
This ends the official policy, and now for the reasons NOT to have multiple accounts if you are considering it:
Having a second account is more difficult that it would seem. You not only have to get into character, you have to get completely out of character and then back into another character. It can be rather challenging, and you can accidentally mix up which character you are at that time, making you just look like an ass. Also, having more that one characters may hinder the development, as you don't have as much focus. You split your creative energy between two or more characters, and each character doesn't receive the time and effort they deserve. If you are new to rp, DO NOT make a second character. It takes a lot of experience to pull it off well. especially in such a closed "community" of this forum. Finally, your character qualities may tend to bleed together, so instead of having two distinct characters, you have one character with two names in two different places.
I think that about covers it, unless any other admins have anything to add.
