Species and Gender: Human/Female
Full name: Natalya Thurinos
Nickname(s): Often referred to as “The Nexu” due to her violent nature and her technique with a vibroblade that was said to have the sting of a Nexu’s teeth. This eventually became her notorious slicer code name; others include Aria Xenos and Jade Starbender.
Age: 22
Homeplanet: Coruscant
History: Born and raised on Coruscant by her often sickly mother and two older brothers, Natalya lived in a life of less-than luxury. Due to their meager state, she lived her life scourging the streets with her brothers as pickpockets, learning new techniques for stealing identities for credits. Her life was often difficult, but she loved her older brothers and strived to be like them, wanting to be better than them at virtually everything despite the large age difference (Gavin is 4 years her senior, Ulick 6 years her senior). It was on one fateful day in her ninth year that she lost her brothers for what she still believes to be forever. One stifling day in the industrious city center of Coruscant, Natalya and her brothers met in an alley to compare their loot from pickpocketing when two figures darkened the narrow passage, advancing toward the trio. In a natural defense for his younger siblings, Ulick attempted to fend them off, but by some strange magick he was forced up into the air and slammed against the wall. The men told them that Gavin and Ulick had powers that were about to emerge and needed to come with them so they could hone these powers, what they referred to as “The Force”, to defeat an evil alliance called the Sith; unbeknownst to the children, the cloaked figures were themselves Sith, lying so Ulick and Gavin would join them. Wanting to protect their sister and having aspirations to be saviors the boys agreed, leaving Natalya with promises of returning. Years went by and they never returned, even after their mother had died from a disease Natalya could not afford a treatment for. In an attempt for survival, she joined a band of pirates who taught her the ways of combat and helped her enhance a deep-seated talent in slicing terminal systems. Now, at the age of 22, she does freelance work slicing for whatever credits she can get.
Personality: She despises both the Jedi and Sith (rather anyone force-sensitive) because she blames them for the loss of her brothers. However, this does not stop her from finding work with them due to her instinctual mode for survival and subsequent lack of credits; yet she mostly works for the Hutts and bounty hunters. Natalya generally enjoys slicing, and also takes pleasure in sharp shooting and Sabacc. She is extremely competitive and mistrusting, although she is sympathetic when it comes to women and children. When things go awry, she is oft to panic and usually resorts to violence.
Physical Description: Natalya stands around 5’8” with a lithe form. See reference here. In addition to the pictured clothing, she also wears a swoop helmet with goggles and a battered leather jacket.
Initial path: Neutral (AKA her services go to the highest bidder)
Lightsaber fighting style: N/A
Possessions: Other than the clothes on her back, she has a utility belt with satchels containing her fake identichips, slicer chips (electronic lock breakers), datapad, portable scanner, and vocal enhancer. At the moment, she does not currently own any long ranged weapons and only wields a stolen vibroblade. One of her wishes is to own modified duel DL-44 blasters.
Powers: Natalya is not force-sensitive and looks upon matters of the force with dubiety because she believes it to be a hokey religion.
Storyline:
Treasure Ship Row - Natalya breaks off from her pirate comrades and enters the Blue Sector to pick up a job. Here, in the cantina of her old friend, Vartu, she meets up with a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Cassus who seeks her skill at slicing. They leave for the forest moon of Endor, but not before they are attacked by pirates.
Emergency Escape - Where the pieces are picked up. Flashbacks of her failed mission with Cassus and her timely rescue by Skeang.
Basilisk - The slicer aids Skeang and Sarvina capture a bounty, but not before disaster strikes.
A Grim Return - Natalya returns to Coruscant for the first time since her mother's death, wins a game of sabacc, and realizes she is traveling with a wanted vigilante.
