jeluvitas and marekis exited hyperspace just above this harsh, desolate planet. his hunch proved correct as he reached out through the force. the trail had led him here. no doubt nihlus had wanted to make a challenge for any who wished to gain his power. he turned on the comm and sent a message to his apprentice.

Mare nodded at the message he recieved. His grinned streched across his face. It had been some time since he had been able to strech out his legs. The mention of the air filter soon made his grin fade. Where was he supposed to get one of those so soon? He paniced and searched around the Y-wing until he stumbled upon some emergency supplies. Relief swept over him when he saw the air filter. He sent a message back over to his master.

Jeluvitas clicked his comm in confirmation twice, and began landing procedures. when he had landed on the planet, Jeluvitas took a second, and formed a force bubble around himself so that he could breathe unassisted. he jumped quickly to the ground and waited for the y-wing to land. at the same time, he continued to focus on the object he found through the force.

When Mare landed he jumped out of his Y-wing and streched his legs as much as he could. He then looked over at his master and tilted his head confused at what he was doing. But he pushed it aside and forgot about it soon afterwards.
"So where to now Master...um ...what did you say your name was again?"

Jeluvitas turned and looked at the kid.
"I didn't. no one has ever heard my real name except my own mother who gave it to me. not even my master knows it. if you must, you may call me darth Jeluvitas. we travel this way."
Jeluvitas pointed off into the barreness of the planet, past the very small town they had landed in.

Mare nodded at his master and headed off in the direction he had pointed in.
"Whatever you say Master Jeluvitas..."
He felt much more comfortable now that he knew his masters name. It was awkward for him that he hadnt known this entire time.

jeluvitas began walking in the direction next to his apprentice. he thought in his mind, a way to test his apprentice's battle skills. he knew that his apprentice could not hope to fight himself hand to hand, but he could possibly fight something else. he then stopped and faced his apprentice as he reached inside of his cloak for one of his extra lightsabers he carried. it was a shortened one, with a shorter handle. it had a special crystal inside of it. one that was unimprinted at all and could be used to conform to whoever used it over time.
"i will run ahead to look for this mask so we can begin your training sooner. take this lightsaber for now for your own protection. when you have trained enough, you will learn to make your own, suited to you fighting style, but for now, this will have to do."
he tossed it into the air towards his apprentice and began running faster than could seem possible in the same dirrection

Mare stumbled backwards to catch the object that was thrown at him. When it made contact with his palm he activated it and his eyes widened. His surprised look on his fface soon changed to a wicked smile of cruelty. By the time he looked backed up the only thing he could see left of his master was a dot fading in the distance. He looked around in wonder of what to do.
"Well....what now Mare ol'boy...."
He leaned on one leg and crassed his arms a cocked an brow. He looked back down at the lightsaber he had recieved.
"Hmm....maybe i should....see exactly how to use this thing....first hand."
He grinned wickedly and went off into the small town....to find a "test sample"....

jeluvitas reached the place where the mask should be. it was a large cliff. he found a large boulder jutting out from the wall that was different from the rest. he sensed that there was a cave behind it. he tried to lift it, but a force with equal power resisted from the other side. jeluvitas thought for a second and reached out to find nearby animals. he found a large reek that had been corrupted by the dark energy. it had harder and sharper tusks, thicker skin, and was already insane. it was a simple matter to dominate its mind and have it bash through the boulder. after wards, he decided to use this animal in a different way. he walked just inside the cave and waited.

Mare had been busy for the past few hours. He dragged the body back to the alley he was keeping the rest and threw it on the stack of about five. He dusted his chest off and smirked. This great new weapon was so much fun to him. Yet he wanted a challenge....he hungered for a bigger better opponent. Then he remember his Master. Where ever he was going it must have been preety big to leave him behind. He rubbed his chin roughly and finaly decided to follow him to wherever he was heading.
"Cant leave this behind Master Jeluvitas..."

starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Reekthe reek was completely mindless and wild. it saw something coming towards it and had the sudden urge to charge at it. it stirred up a crazy blood lust and ran full speed towards it, intent on splattering this person into a fine bloody mist

Mare wasnt paying to much attention to what was going on until somthing inside him seemed to scream out. He felt confused and afraid thats when he looked up. He saw this huge creatur charging toward him. He was confused from where it came from but he put his thoughts to the side for later. He jumped sideways and rolled out of the way of the giant Reek. Mare worked his way back to his feet and slid back from the momentum of the roll. He pulled out his new light-saber and activated it.
"Looks like i got what i wanted.....but is this to much?"
He shook his head and waited to see what would happen next...mostly cus he had no idea how to fight somthing so epicly BIG.

the reek missed its target and skidded several feet as it tried to stop and turn around to charge again. it sluggishly turned and lowered its head for another charge. filled with dark energy and bloodlust, it charged a second time.

Mare saw its sluggish movements as its main weakness. For the second charge he dodged once again to the left and tried his best to stab it in the side. If this wouldnt work he still had several plans up his sleave...

the lightsaber scraped across the side of the reek, burning a small gash. this effectively made it much more angry, but barely harmed it, due to its thick skin empowered by dark energy. it stopped much closer this time and walked more cautiously towards marekis. this time it attempted to skewer him on its horns by thrashing its head at him.

Marekis paniced so he jumped back just to get away. Although the distance away from it wouldnt do much it could give him time to think up a counter. When the horn came thrashing at him, Mare suddenly decided this reckless attacking would do anything against this brute. One plan was to retreat to the cliff side and hope it was truely dumb enough to run right off. Mare was running out of time to think so he proceded to do as planned. After jumping back away from the thrashing he ran full speed for the cliff side. If he could dodge it just as is chargeing in time hopefully this would end nice and easily.

the reek ran towards the cliff side, completely blinded by rage. it ran in a straight line at marekis, not noticing the cliffside. it was nearly upon marekis, though, with its tremendous speed. the amount of adreniline in it was so high that even if it did kill marekis, it would most likely die from adrenaline shock. it was now only a few yards away from the edge of the cliff and it had completely caught up with marekis, so that its horns were only a foot away from his back

Marekis paniced a moment when he noticed the horns leading there way t his back. Helooked foward measuring the distance from them and the cliff and smirked a second. He pushed himself as hard as he could for the first yard and finaly after usingall that energy to run he had no other choice but to jump directely to his right. He did not even stop he just jumped to the right into a 90 degree angle. When he landed all he could do was wait and see if his plan worked if it did, he was relieved...but if not...He was donefor. With barely any energy to run, all he could do was sit there in the dust and wait to die...

the reek had too much momentum going to stop in time. it went barreling off the cliff and to its death many meters below. as it fell, it contunued to roar defiantly

Jeluvitas had been watching the entire fight. he had caused it all to happen by provoking the wild animal. now that the fight was over, he revealed himself. what used to be empty space, he seemed to materialize out of nowhere in front of the mouth of a cave that also was not there before. he walked to where marekis lay on the ground and spoke two words. "You passed." he turned an sat at the mouth of the cave to give marekis time to recover.
