As the chase approached an intersection in the corridor a large figure walked out, cutting off Marekis.
Praetor Kagreh tore out his saber- the vicious snap-hiss of his silver blade filling the air with the scent of ozone.
"Odottaa," he growled, "What's going on here!?"

"Tch." Kagreh deactivated his saber and marched up to Odottaa. "We are not the Jedi. We do not hunt down and eradicate our enemies. Many of our ranks come from dark pasts. Some were once Sith initiates." He stood up straighter and looked him in the eyes. "Many of us have have killed. We protect the galaxy. We do not police it like the Jedi. We do not act cruelly like the Sith. We come when needed."
He turned away and gave Marekis a shove to start moving. "And we take what leads we can when on a mission of this magnitude. Now get going and you can find out what it is. Not you Odottaa." He extended his hand toward the Chevin. "Give me all of your access cards and weapons. We're not going to let you're sudden Sith-bloodlust interfere with this mission, its too important."

He won this fight. But if the Praetor hadn't appeared, things would be different. He lowered his head in thought and proceeded to the hall.

Odottaa threw his cards and weapons down in disgust.
"if you must ally yourself with such a man, then i want no part of you and your order. i will be leaving immediately."
odottaa turned to the hanger to find his ship
